We have been participating in the development of a smart contact lens* platform announced by Seed Co., Ltd. since 2019.
The development of smart contact lenses requires the integration of diverse technologies and enormous investment, but in this project led by SEED Co., Ltd., various technologies and organizations have collaborated to create a highly flexible platform and a versatile product substrate with low development costs.
CenturyArks agreed with the philosophy of this project and utilized our compact circuit design and mounting technology cultivated through the design and manufacture of camera modules to create a mounting substrate suitable for curved surfaces inside contact lenses and develop a mounting method. We also designed a communication and power supply system for smart contact lenses using the wireless power supply and communication technologies available at this stage, formulated LSI specifications, and worked with RAMXEED LIMITD (foundry) to achieve an optimal circuit design.
We will continue to actively contribute to this project toward practical application.
