This is a translation of the original Japanese information for internal use and reference purpose only.
CenturyArks Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takeshi Saito) is pleased to announce that the winners of the contest for ideas and algorithms for utilizing the event-based vision camera, SilkyEvCam®, have been selected, and the award ceremony was held on January 22, 2025.
This contest is an initiative for students and researchers to explore new possibilities while experiencing the SilkyEvCam®, an event camera that captures only luminance changes at ultra-high speed on a pixel-by-pixel basis, unlike conventional frame-based cameras. Through this camera, applicants aimed to rediscover issues in their research and daily life, and to contribute to the development of research and ultimately to solving social problems. By focusing on both ideas for use and algorithms, we received more entries than expected from a wide range of people, from event camera beginners to those who are already using the camera for research.
