BothView® Captures Event and Frame Data Simultaneously
Evolves into Two Types! New Models Launch on October 28
TOKYO October 28, 2025
CenturyArks Co., Ltd.
CenturyArks Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshinobu Oka) will officially release an improved new model of its “BothView® C-Mount Model”, a derivative product of the event-based vision camera “SilkyEvCam®”, and HD sensor module on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The “SilkyEvCam BothView® C-Mount Model” is the world's only hybrid camera that integrates both an event sensor and a frame sensor into a single unit, enabling simultaneous acquisition of both data types without parallax.
Based on feedback received from users since its October 2024 launch, we have implemented the following two improvements.
Improvement Points
1. Addition of IX Series Connector Interface
This facilitates synchronization between BothView® units or with our SilkyEvCam® event camera products.
Synchronization cables and a synchronization box with BothView® as the master are also available separately as needed.
2. Two Types Based on Differences in Incident Light Spectral Ratio
Based on the beam splitter's spectral ratio, we offer the following two types:
-Conventional Type: Event Side 10%, Frame Side 90% (Prioritizes high frame rate)
-New Type: Event Side 50%, Frame Side 50% (Prioritizes balance and event data)
SilkyEvCam® HD Sensor Module joins the Event Camera Product Series!
Additionally, the “SilkyEvCam® HD Module” will also launch on the same day. This camera module employs the same event sensor “IMX636” (manufactured by Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (SSS) and realized in collaboration between SSS and Prophesee S.A.) as the professional-grade event camera SilkyEvCam® HD.
Compared to the existing ultra-compact module SilkyEvCam® GenX320 4x5, it enables wider coverage and higher-resolution data acquisition. It is designed for applications in various fields, including robotics, drones, AGVs (autonomous delivery vehicles), and even small satellites.
With the launch of these new models, the SilkyEvCam® series is further enhanced.
As a lineup expanding the possibilities of event camera technology, it will powerfully support research, development, and implementation sites.
